Zuniga et al. v. Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. et al, Civil Action No. 2018 CA 005017 B (D.C. Sup.)

This wage theft collective action was brought on behalf of a group of former employees of Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and Commercial Interiors, Inc., alleging these employers failed to pay the former employees promised wages and overtime premiums for work related to the construction of a Hyatt hotel in Washington, D.C.  The Complaint alleges that while employed by Defendants at the Project, the Plaintiffs regularly worked in excess of forty hours per week but were not paid at the required time and a half overtime rate for this work.  Additionally, the complaint alleges that the Plaintiffs were paid nothing for their last two weeks of work.
