SAIPRASAD TRANSPORT WAGE THEFT

Lama v. Saiprasad Medical Transport -- Civil Action No. 2018 CA 003591 (Superior Court of the District of Columbia).

This wage theft collective action was brought on behalf of plaintiff April Lama and similarly situated employees of Saiprasad Medical Transport, a company offering non-emergency medical transportation throughout Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia.  The case alleges that, for several years, Saiprasad Medical Transport failed to pay its drivers for a significant percentage of their hours worked and also failed to pay them any overtime premium for hours worked in excess of 40 in a week.
