Tola Oyeyemi is an Associate Attorney at Handley Farah & Anderson representing workers and people in vulnerable circumstances who have been harmed by corporate and government misconduct and abuses.
Tola is a part of the team for Jien v. Perdue Farms, Inc. a major antitrust class action which alleges that poultry processing companies conspired to depress the compensation of its workers. Tola is also on the team for nationwide consumer class actions, pursuing funds on behalf of consumers harmed by companies that purported to offer membership in a healthcare-sharing ministry but instead illicitly retained the bulk of premiums as profit. Tola also litigates cases involving trafficking, exploited foreign labor, housing discrimination, and wage theft.
Before joining HFA, Tola represented clients involved in antitrust disputes in complex litigation, merger deals, and government investigations at a global law firm. While in this role, Tola maintained an active practice leading and managing a variety of pro bono matters and received a pro bono award in 2023. Prior to this role, Tola completed a federal clerkship to Judge Timothy M. Reif of the United States Court of International Trade. With a strong interest in workers' rights and economic justice, in 2020 Tola also volunteered at the Workers Defense Project and the Human Trafficking Legal Center.
Tola graduated from Columbia Law School and served as a Managing Editor for the Journal of Transnational Law. Prior to law school, Tola graduated with honors from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service studying International Economics.
