C.R. MILLWORK LLC WAGE THEFT

Aug 26, 2022

This wage theft class and collective action was brought on behalf of a group of former employees of C.R. Millwork LLC, Whiting Turner Contracting Company and CBG Building Company, alleging that their employers failed to pay workers overtime premiums and illegally misclassified workers. Specifically, the complaint alleges that while employed by Defendants at different project sites across the District of Columbia, Plaintiffs regularly worked in excess of forty hours per week but were not paid at the required time and a half overtime rate for this work. Additionally, the complaint alleges that Plaintiffs were paid less than minimum wage, had the cost of tools illegally deducted from their paychecks, were illegally classified as independent contractors, when they were in fact employees.
