HFA Files Lawsuit on Behalf of Workers Denied Wages by LGB Construction and Jose Jimenez

Nov 14, 2019

On November 14, 2019, Handley Farah & Anderson filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on behalf of a group of former employees of LGB Construction, alleging the employer failed to properly compensate workers for work done at numerous construction sites in the District of Columbia Metropolitan area.  The Complaint alleges that while employed by Defendants at various project sites, Plaintiffs regularly worked in excess of forty hours per week but were not paid at the required time and a half overtime rate for this work.  Additionally, the Complaint alleges that Plaintiffs were illegally classified as independent contractors, when they were in fact employees.
